In the mid-1970s, the Help Line Center was created to serve the community of the Sioux Empire. This service has evolved greatly and now serves the state of South Dakota 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Several resources are available including the 211 Help Line in which responded to over 9,000 calls last month. Here with more on this resource and an upcoming 211 University is Betsy Schuster, she's vice president of program development with the Help Line Center in Sioux Falls.
