On today's show...

Ahead of International Women's Day, we explore a few organizations and events uplifting local female musicians.

First, the Dahl Arts Center is hosting an expo with a variety of women's organizations on Saturday. That's followed by a speaker circuit and a sing-songwriter showcase that includes artists like Bobbie Jo Kuhl.

Kuhl and Deb Lux, Emerging Performing Artists Facilitator with the Rapid City Arts Council, preview the event (1:00 to 19:20). Learn more about tickets.

Jim McKeown, author of "Believe: The Story of Lovley's Curse," turns back the clock a hundred years.

He shares the tale of a small-town team that claimed the high school basketball state championship trophy and the so-called curse that followed (19:20 to 32:59).

Plus, Morgan Carnes with the Transcendent Musicians program talks about upcoming mentorship, recording and live music events aimed at women and trans musicians (32:59 to 49:04).
