Two adults connected to the Mitchell American Legion baseball program have entered not guilty pleas to charges of failure to report sexual assault. A spokesperson for the Pennington County States' Attorney says coach Luke Norden and team board member Jeremy Borgan have both pleaded not guilty and await a joint court trial in March.

Court proceedings in a murder trial were briefly halted in Deadwood this week. All it took was one missing document from a special Rapid City law enforcement team to create a potential murder case mistrial.

State investigators say they're looking into new information in the search for Rachel Cyriacks. Attorney General Marty Jackley says the DCI has received new tips in the past few weeks.

The South Dakota Unified Judicial System announced retired Judge Jon R. Erickson has died. Erickson served on the bench for the Third Judicial Circuit in Huron for 30 years.

The state Unified Judicial System is warning the public about a nationwide scam. In the scam, the caller claims to be a law enforcement officer or court official and tells victims they failed to appear for jury duty.
