The owner of the Wildflower Academy in Sioux Falls faces charges of abuse or cruelty to a minor. The childcare center has been closed since last week when Sioux Falls police received a report of alleged child abuse.

The program that hosts South Dakota's online voting database is back up and running after a temporary technical issue with the voter check-in system on Friday. Officials say the glitch was due to a Microsoft service disruption.

Transit is much more than cars in garages. With the new transit research in Rapid City, alternative transit options are being assessed alongside roads and sidewalks.

It's 1913 near Horse Butte, South Dakota. Imagine you and a friend are hauling a one-room schoolhouse atop two horse-drawn wagons six miles across the prairie to Royal Center. School at the three-year-old Royal Center schoolhouse started in December that year and it remained in operation for nearly 40 more years until 1951. Fast-forward to 2024—a reunion of sorts—to celebrate the newly restored building, which was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in February of 2023.
