On today's update...

Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken said the city is planning to reduce $8-10 million of funding in the city’s budget. He said the root cause is a property tax relief bill the state Legislature passed this year.

Officials are notifying the public about the release of an inmate they consider “high-risk.”
The South Dakota Commission on Child Support is seeking public input on potential changes to the state’s child support guidelines.

Congress is moving to slash previously approved funding for public media. Both the House and Senate approved cutting over $1 billion in funding to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. The recission package also clawed back nearly $8 billion in other programs, mostly aimed at foreign aid.
