The state of South Dakota has submitted its proposal to tap into millions of dollars the federal government has allocated to transform rural health care. For nonprofits and other health care entities, that means the clock is ticking to get a slice of the pie. That includes one nonprofit looking to help Native American health care in South Dakota.

There’s a new publication on the block in Brookings. The Brookings Beacon was born out of the sudden closure of several South Dakota newspapers.

The South Dakota Department of Social Services says they’ve loaded partial benefits onto SNAP recipients’ EBT cards overnight.
