US Sen. Mike Rounds is reintroducing the Whole-Home Repairs Act.
Proponents of the bill say it provides home repair assistance to low-and-moderate-income homeowners and local landlords.
If passed, it would replicate the Whole-Home Repairs program that has been achieved at the state level. The bill would create a five-year pilot initiative.
The program provides grants and forgivable loans to aid homeowners and landlords in repairing properties.
Rounds said the bipartisan bill would “establish a new standard” for efficiency in federal programs.
