On today's In the Moment...

Gov. Kristi Noem has vetoed four bills presented to her by the legislature. With 73 bills still on her desk, which will get signed and which will get stamped?

And which category will the budget proposal fall into?

Veto Day is coming up fast on March 27. The Dakota Political Junkies join us to discuss what twists and turns could still arise even as we're in the home stretch of the 2023 legislative session.

We'll check in with the South Dakota Education Association. Communications director Sandra Waltman shares an update on how their legislative agenda fared this session.

A bill related to cryptocurrency was among the early vetoes. SDPB's Lee Strubinger helps explain what the bill said and why Noem gave it the axe. We'll also hear directly from the governor.

A pesticide bill caused one of the lighter discussions of the session. Listen to legislators debate and laugh in their own words.

Plus, the state's largest city has a new sustainability plan. SoDak 350 took a close look at which promises were removed or revised from Sioux Falls' old plan. Arlene Brandt-Jenson joins to talk about where this plan fell short.

Lori Walsh is a special correspondent with SDPB and host of the "In the Moment" podcast.
Ellen Koester served as a producer of "In the Moment," SDPB's daily news and culture broadcast.
