On Thursday afternoon, Augustana defeated Southern New Hampshire to advance to the DII National Championship game.
Their 8-2 victory on Thursday marked the third win for the Vikings in the Division Two College World Series. Still unbeaten in the double elimination tournament, Augustana would have to be defeated twice on Saturday, but one lone win would earn them the top prize.
Augustana has now beaten Southern New Hampshire twice in the tournament, officially eliminating them from the event. They also scored a win over Florida Southern College last Sunday – a team they could see on Saturday in the Championship game.
Florida Southern and Columbus State will play Friday afternoon. The winner will play Augustana on Saturday.
