2021 Girls Basketball SoDak 16 Matchups

Girls SoDak 16 matchup

The 2021 girls state basketball tournaments are a little over a week away with forty-eight teams still remaining, but only twenty-four spots available. This week, the SoDak 16 will take place in South Dakota, which will cut the number of eligible teams in half, and in doing so, set the brackets for next week.

Class AA – Friday March 5, 2021 (higher seeds play at home)

The girls state high school basketball tournaments will take place Thursday March 11 – Saturday March 13 with Class B in Huron (Huron Arena), Class A in Watertown (Civic Arena), and Class AA in Sioux Falls (Sanford Pentagon). All three tournaments will air live on SDPB-TV – B’s on SDPB-1, A’s on SDPB-2, and AA’s on SDPB-3.

Nate Wek is currently the sports content producer and sports and rec beat reporter for South Dakota Public Broadcasting. He is a graduate of South Dakota State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism Broadcasting and a minor in Leadership. From 2010-2013 Nate was the Director of Gameday Media for the Sioux Falls Storm (Indoor Football League) football team. He also spent 2012 and 2013 as the News and Sports Director of KSDJ Radio in Brookings, SD. Nate, his wife Sarah, and three sons, Braxan, Jordy, and Anders live in Canton, SD.
