Former South Dakota football stars make NFL rosters in rookie seasons

For some South Dakota alums – the beginning of the NFL season means the opportunity to make a professional roster.

Each team is allowed 53 active roster players. Many take chances on young, up-and-coming first-year players.

This includes two Jackrabbits and one Coyote.

Former SDSU running back Isaiah Davis makes the New York Jets and offensive lineman Mason McCormick makes the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Former USD cornerback Myles Harden makes the Cleveland Browns.

All three rookies continue to vie for playing time on the field.
