The semi-automatic assault weapons ban voted into law by Congress in 1994 expired this week. Both President Bush and Sen. John Kerry say they favored extending the ban, but Kerry blames Bush for not pushing Congress for a vote. NPR's Tavis Smiley speaks with Rep.
