Hurricane season officially begins June 1, and this coming Monday the National Hurricane Center will release its official forecast for the coming year.
Noah Adams visited the center recently to find out what goes on during the months of preparation for what may be a violent and deadly storm season -- the first season since Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast.
The building itself -- a bunker-like compound with 10-inch-thick concrete walls -- is built to withstand the strongest of hurricanes.
