Dangerous Wind Chills Continue In East River

The frigid weather pattern that has affected the Northern Plains for most of the winter has created more difficult conditions.  Interstate 29 is closed in both directions from Sioux Falls to the Canadian border, and many schools in East River are closed or starting late.  Earlier this morning, SDPB's Gary Ellenbolt visited with Brad Temeyer with the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls.

A Wind Chill Warning remains in effect in northeast South Dakota until midday Tuesday.  Central and southeast South Dakota are under a Wind Chill Advisory running tonight through the middle of the day Tuesday.  Complete weather information is available at the National Weather Service website.  Road conditions can be found at Safe Travel USA.
