In 1960, a bright young scientist named Jane Goodall traveled to Africa in the hopes of watching free animals living their lives. She learned that chimpanzees made tools, waged wars, formed deep bonds, and showed compassion. Her findings rocked the scientific world.
Dr. Goodall is now one of the planet's leading voices and authors on making the world a better place for animals, for the environment, and for the human community.
Dr. Jane's youth organization called Roots & Shoots operates in the Northern Great Plains, including at the Bramble Park Zoo.
