White Spruce Chamber Players

This interview posted above is from SDPB's daily public-affairs show, In the Moment, hosted by Lori Walsh.

The White Spruce Chamber Players announce their fall program. It's a celebration of Americana with music from George Gershwin and Antonín Dvořák. The highlight is "Palazzo," which is an ode to the people of Mitchell and the Palace City, written specifically for the White Spruce Chamber Players by Australian composer Nigel McBain.

Pianist Brett Cooper talks with Megan Feighery on In the Moment about what inspired McBain to write "Palazzo" and the Chamber Player's mission to present accessible chamber music for audiences across the state

The Palazzo World Premiere takes place in Mitchell on October 1. A second performance ise in Sioux Falls on October 2. Attendance is free. You can learn more about the chamber performances here.
