A drowning victim at Pactola Reservoir near Rapid City has been identified as a 20 year-old airman assigned to Ellsworth Air Force Base.
Airman first class Weds Byssainthe drowned June 24 near the Pactola Point Picnic Area. Byssainthe’s body was recovered the same day following a short search and recovery effort by Pennington County Water Rescue Divers.
The incident is still under investigation.
