Learn about Native American winter counts in South Dakota and complete an interesting activity. This video is part of Activity Starters, an animated series. In each episode, an animated character introduces a concept and an activity.

Complete the Following:
- Select three special events that took place during the last year. One event should be selected by a grandparent (or other family member), one by a parent, and one by the student.
- Cut a large piece of bulletin board paper into the shape of a hide.
- Draw pictures of each event on a piece of paper. The drawings could be done by each family member or by the student.
