A series of multicolor woodblock prints from pre-Industrial Japan are on display at the Dahl Arts Center in Rapid City. These colorful and intricate prints are on loan from Richard Hicks, a retired BHSU art professor living in Spearfish, whose grandfather was curator for the industrialist Charles Lang Freer in Detroit.
The Dahl is closed this week (Jan. 5-9) for cleaning, so the 18 Japanese prints are available for viewing again on Jan. 10 and remain on exhibit through March 7. Richard Hicks is scheduled to give a gallery talk on February 19 at 5:30 p.m.
