Jon Crane creates "Art that Takes You Home." After a tour at Ellsworth Air Force Base where he served as a combat pilot in the 1970s, the artist decided to make a life in the Black Hills permanently. He lives here. He paints here. He provides a gateway for others to explore the beauty of art and life in South Dakota.
Crane unveils his new releases of Sylvan Lake & Black Elk Peak on July 21 from 1 to 4 p.m. Mountain at Jon Crane Gallery in Hill City, and on September 21 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Rehfeld's Art & Framing in Sioux Falls.
