The new SDPB documentary Leaving Redfield explores the progress from forced segregation of people with intellectual disabilities to a greater focus on all people living meaningful lives.
The program premieres on SDPB-TV on June 10. It looks at the deinstitutionalization of the Redfield Hospital and School from the early 1900's to the current day. Writer Paul Higbee previews the film.
