People across the country have been taking to the streets to protest the death of George Floyd, a Minneapolis man who died in police custody after Minneapolis Police Department Officer Derek Chauvin placed his knee on Floyd's neck while Floyd was handcuffed and lying face down, pleading with the officer for his life. 
 
Some protests across the country have devolved into civil unrest, looting, and violence.
