In The Moment … October 2, 2020 Show 915 Hour 1
Last summer we welcomed the Quartet Davis into the SDPB Sioux Falls studios for a live performance. Now the group has released their debut album called "Three Lefts Make a Right." The group was conceived out of a love for the string quartet model and pulls influences from Scandinavian traditional music, blues, and contemporary classical forms.
We'll hear tracks from the album for today's Moment in Sound. But first, we welcome the group's cellist, South Dakota's own Karl Henry. Also with us is Camille Vogley-Howes Camille Vogley-Howes, one of the group's violinists who also co-created the album cover art.
