This interview is from SDPB's daily public-affairs show, In the Moment, hosted by Lori Walsh.

The Lakota people are telling their own stories and preserving knowledge for future generations in a ground-breaking new project.

The "Heart of All: Oral History Project" is a seven-part audio series exploring some of the most important stories and events of the Lakota people. The project, created by students at Little Wound School with support from the National Endowment for the Humanities documents the memories and stories of elders on a large scale.

The first episode, documenting origin stories, will air on KILI Radio Wednesday at 5PM MST. The episode will also be available for streaming on Friday. You can find more online at heartofallohp.com.

Joining us to talk about the project, its development, and its significance are project advisor Joseph Marshall III and Little Wound senior Jada Good Crow.
