'Something Rotten' comes to Black Hills Playhouse

Black Hills Playhouse

This interview posted above is from SDPB's daily public-affairs show, In the Moment, hosted by Lori Walsh.

It's a parody of a Broadway musical and a spoof of all things Shakespeare. "Something Rotten" is the latest production from the Black Hills Playhouse in Custer State Park.

The musical comedy was nominated for 10 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Black Hills Playhouse Executive Director Linda Anderson joins Seth Tupper in SDPB's Black Hills Surgical Hospital Studio in Rapid City to talk about the production, surviving the pandemic, and what's ahead for the Black Hills Playhouse.

You still have plenty of opportunities to see "Something Rotten" at the Black Hills Playhouse. The show closes on Aug. 20. Tickets can be purchased on the playhouse website.

Carl Norquist is a producer and writer for In the Moment. An EMMY-winning producer, Carl previously worked for KTIV News 4 in Sioux City, IA. Carl is a Minnesota native and graduate of Augustana University with majors in Art and English.
Seth supervises SDPB's beat reporters and newscast team. He works at SDPB's Black Hills Studio in Rapid City.
