The 28th Annual Festival of Cultures is set to take place on June 14 in Sioux Falls.

Presented by First Premier Bank/Premier Bankcard, this event was formed from a partnership between the LSS Multi-Cultural Center and Levitt at the Falls. The Levitt Shell will host this year’s events, which begin at 10:30 a.m. and conclude at 9:30 p.m.

“This event is so unique and special since it brings together people from every cross-section of the community to learn from each other and celebrate all the heritages that make Sioux Falls such a welcoming and thriving city,” Valeria Wicker of the LSS Multi-Cultural Center said.

The festival will consist of live entertainment, local vendor booths, food trucks, and cultural activities for both adults and kids. This year, specifically, organizers say the festival is expanding to the Levitt lawn where a Global Village and Kids Zone will be stationed. The Global Village is an area where individuals not connected to an organization or business can share their customs with others.

Live performances kick at the festival’s opening and the last act will begin at 8 p.m. A full line-up can be found at lsssd.org.
