Pumpkin spice everything is in full swing everywhere. In fact, I just saw an advertisement for pumpkin spice dog biscuits. I could hardly believe it. People tend to fall into two camps when it comes to pumpkin flavored foods; they either love it or hate it. If you are in the ‘love it’ camp then read on.

I’m excited to bring you an easy Pumpkin Spice French Toast recipe. This particular recipe strikes the right balance of pumpkin spice flavor without overwhelming the dish. The pumpkin flavor is subtle complimenting the traditional egg soaked bread, which is already perfect. By infusing the egg and milk dip with a little cinnamon, vanilla, pumpkin spice blend, and pureed pumpkin, your typical French toast is elevated a notch. There is just enough of the pumpkin spice flavor to bring the spirit of the season to the breakfast table.

What I love about this recipe is that it is not pretentious. It is just a nice yet simple twist on an already beloved breakfast favorite. Finished off with a light dusting of confectioners’ sugar and a drizzle of warm maple syrup, this breakfast is one the whole family will enjoy.
