Full Boys Basketball Quarterfinal Results

The consolation and semi-final rounds begin tomorrow at noon (consolation) local time and 6 pm (semi-finals) local time.

Class AA

#1 Sioux Falls Washington defeated #8 Huron 60-44 in the quarterfinal round of the Class AA tournament. Huron will move to the Consolation bracket and SF Washington will advance to the semi-final round.

#5 Rapid City Stevens defeated #4 Aberdeen Central 59-38 in the quarterfinal round of the Class AA tournament. Rapid City advances next to the semi-final round, while Aberdeen Central falls to the consolation bracket.

#2 Sioux Falls Lincoln defeated #7 Watertown 58-38 in the quarterfinal round of the Class AA tournament. Lincoln will advance to the semi-finals while Watertown will drop to the consolation bracket.

#3 Sioux Falls O’Gorman defeated #6 Pierre 56-49 in the Class AA quarterfinal round. O’Gorman advances to the semi-final round and Pierre falls to the consolation bracket.

Class A

#1 Aberdeen Roncalli defeated #8 Lennox 48-37 in the Class A quarterfinal round. Lennox moves to the consolation side of the bracket, while Aberdeen Roncalli advances to the semi-finals.

#5 Little Wound defeated #4 Clark/Willow Lake 60-54 in the quarterfinal round of Class A. Little Wound advances to the semi-finals and Clark/Willow Lake drops to the consolation bracket.

#2 Winner defeated #7 St. Thomas More 54-42 in the Class A quarterfinal round. Winner advances to the semi-final round and St. Thomas More falls to the consolation bracket.

#3 Dell Rapids defeated #6 Mt. Vernon/Plankinton 65-46 in the quarterfinal round of Class A. Dell Rapids advances to the semi-finals and Mt. Vernon Plankinton moves to the consolation round.

Class B

#8 Hitchcock-Tulare initiated the first upset of the tournament as they defeated #1 Faith 54-40 in the quarterfinal round of the Class B boy’s basketball tournament. Faith drops to the Consolation bracket while Hitchcock-Tulare advances to the semi-final round.

#5 Hanson defeated #4 Wolsey-Wessington 56-55 in a nail biter affair in the Class B quarterfinal round. Hanson advances to the semi-finals and Wolsey-Wessington moves down to the consolation bracket.

#2 White River defeated #7 Parker 61-57 in the Class B quarterfinal round. White River advances to the semi-final round, and Parker drops to the consolation bracket.

#3 Langford Area defeated #6 Gregory 49-36 in the quarterfinal round of Class B. Langford Area moves onto the semi-final round and Gregory falls to the consolation bracket.
