The state of South Dakota has chosen a Rapid City company to develop a major new facility in Sioux Falls.
Dream Design International will develop a “One Stop” building for the state, according to a press release from the company. It’ll be located at the Dawley Farm development on the east side of the city.
The building will host a dozen state agencies in one location, including the Department of Health, the Department of Labor, and the Department of Social Services. These agencies already have offices in Sioux Falls, but they're scattered across the city.
Dream Design constructed a similar facility for the state in Rapid City last year.
“We gained invaluable experience from our work on the Rapid City One Stop,” said Mike Stanley, Director of Planning at Dream Design. “With this knowledge, we are well-equipped to design and construct the Sioux Falls One Stop to fit the needs of the Sioux Falls region.”
The project is currently in the design phase. Construction is expected to begin in the fall.
Dream Design is partnering with CO-OP Architecture and McGough Construction for the project.
