The city of Hartford is receiving $1.9 million in grant funding for infrastructure improvements.
These funds will go towards an infrastructure development project for the new industrial park in northwest Hartford, according to the Hartford Area Development Foundation.
The project is expected to create over 30 new jobs.
$1.7 million in funding came from the U.S Department of Commerce's Economic Development Administration. The EDA is investing a total of $5.3 million in South Dakota to support business development and industrial growth.
The remaining funds came locally or through the Local Infrastructure Improvement Program.
