DANR accepting applications for food system infrastructure grants

The state Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the USDA are offering nearly $3 million in grants to strengthen the food system supply chain in South Dakota.

The grants are under the state Resilient Food System Infrastructure program.

DANR will focus on addressing supply chain gaps through processing capacity. Officials say this will facilitate increased production, equipment upgrades, and more efficient transportation and market access.

To learn more, DANR will hold an informational session Jan. 30, 2024 at 2 p.m. CT. The application materials and more information can be found here.

The application period closes Mar. 10, 2024.
