International purchasing power of the U.S. dollar rising

This interview originally aired on "In the Moment" on SDPB Radio.

While the U.S. dollar is holding its popularity around the world, it could, in practice, incite trade wars.

Joe Santos joins "In the Moment" to explain the "exorbitant privilege" of the dollar and its rising purchasing power internationally.

Santos is the director of the Ness School of Management and Economics at South Dakota State University. He also leads the Dykhouse program in Money, Banking and Regulation at the university.
