State collecting flood damage reports for disaster assistance

Flood damage at McCook Lake following a major flood event in late June 2024.
Union County Emergency Management
Flood damage at McCook Lake following a major flood event in late June 2024.

The state’s Office of Emergency Management wants people and businesses to report any flood damage they’ve experienced.

The office will use the data to seek a Presidential Disaster Declaration for individual assistance and a Small Business Administration Rural Agency Disaster Declaration for businesses.

Officials say it’s critical to include photographs in the form submission and to ensure you fill out the correct form – for individual or businesses - completely and accurately.

Access the submission form on the office's website.

The deadline to submit is July 12.
