PBS Kids Family Night

Beginning Friday, April 21, 2017, the SDPB/PBS Kids 24/7 will debut PBS KIDS Family Night. Watch weekly family viewing events featuring movie specials or themed programming every Friday at 6pm Central, 5pm Mountain, and repeating on Saturday and Sunday evenings at the same time. PBS KIDS Family Night will include popular movie favorites such as SPLASH AND BUBBLES: ONE BIG OCEAN and SESAME STREET: THE COOKIE THIEF, and will include world premiere movie events such as DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD: TIGER FAMILY TRIP, WILD KRATTS ALASKA: HERO’S JOURNEY, READY JET GO!: RETURN TO BORTRON 7 and ARTHUR AND THE HAUNTED TREEHOUSE. PBS KIDS Family Night is a wonderful opportunity to sit down and watch commercial-free programming as a family. PBS KIDS is America’s most trusted source for educational media.

PBS KIDS Family Night kicks off with ODD SQUAD: THE MOVIE on April 21 (and repeating April 22-23). In this feature-length ODD SQUAD event, a rival group of adults called Weird Team arrive with a gadget that fixes any odd problem. As a result, the Odd Squad is run out of business and all the agents are forced to disband and go back to their lives as regular kids. Using math skills and teamwork, the kids discover Weird Team isn’t actually solving problems, but just covering them up. The Season 2 cast teams up with the Season 1 cast to stop Weird Team and save the world from destruction.

PBS Kids 24-7 is available over-the-air on SDPB4-TV, and online streaming through your mobile device – download the PBS Kids Video app. SDPB4-TV is available to some viewers in South Dakota on cable – contact your local provider for information, or to ask to have SDPB4 added.
