Thumbprint Holiday Lights

Christmas Lights
PBS Parents: Crafts for Kids

Make your own Christmas lights with just a little paint!

Materials:

  • paper
  • black permanent marker
  • paint—lots of colors

Instructions

  1. Using the marker, draw a string for your lights on the paper.

  1. Have your child dip her thumb in different colors of paint and make thumbprints all along the light string. Allow to dry.
  2. Using the marker again, draw a squiggly line for the light bulb base.

That's it! Enjoy your colorful Christmas decorations!
