1903 Reader's Theatre auditions for "Sly's Grocery and the Silver-Plated Cake Server"
Auditions for a comedy set in 1932, about the problems that ensue when a local newspaper misprints an ad for a grocery store giveaway. Although a work of dramatic fiction, the setting is a grocery store that actually existed in Belle Fourche for decades.
There are no lines to learn as this is reader's theatre. Roles for 3-4 men and 5-6 women. Rehearsals are Sunday, Feb. 15 through Thursday, Feb.19 from 6-8 p.m. Performs Feb. 20 at 7 p.m. and Feb. 21 at 2 pm. Auditions repeat on Tuesday, Feb. 10 from 6-8 p.m.
