1903 Reader's Theatre auditions for "Your Friend, Ida"

1903 Reader's Theatre auditions for "Your Friend, Ida"

No theatre experience is required to audition and there are no lines to learn as the actors read from their scripts during performances.

“Your Friend, Ida” is set in 1958 in the northern Black Hills and is about women who are avid listeners of a radio show with special appeal to rural women. It was inspired by the work of Wynn Speece who did the My Neighbor Lady show on WNAX for over six decades.

The play has roles for six women and one man. Rehearsals will begin on Sunday, August 17th and continue to Thursday, August 21st. The performances will be on Friday, August 22nd at 7 p.m. and Saturday, August 23 at 2 p.m.
