A Spearfish man received a mandatory life sentence for the shooting death of his wife.
In addition, the 35-year-old Dreau Rogers received 51 years on various drug and firearm charges, according to Attorney General Marty Jackley's office.
Police say Rogers shot and killed his wife, Destiny, at their Spearfish home in January of 2022.
Rogers maintained his innocence throughout the trial.
A jury convicted him last month on second-degree murder charges. Rogers is ineligible for parole.
