Another South Dakota man is facing charges connected to the Jan. 6, 2021 breach of the U.S. Capitol.

William George Knight of Rapid City is charged with obstructing law enforcement and resisting or impeding officers, according U.S. Department of Justice. Both are felony charges. He also faces five misdemeanor offenses, including engaging in violence on the Capitol grounds.

Court documents describe Knight taking part in several aggressive acts in the chaos following the "Stop the Steal" rally in Washington D.C. Knight allegedly pulled down a barrier police were using to control the crowd and repeatedly confronted officers. He was also among a group of rioters who pushed down a large sign then rammed it toward police.

This comes weeks after another South Dakota man was arrested in connection to the Jan. 6 riot. Darrel Goins of Newell faces six felony charges, including assault on law enforcement.
