State investigators are asking for the public’s help in the investigation into a former Rapid City gymnastics coach who faces federal child pornography charges.
Twenty-five-year-old Hayden Sengua is being indicted on multiple counts of possessing images of children, according to Attorney General Marty Jackley.
Sengua worked at Just Gymnastics in Rapid City until 2024.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office District of South Dakota, Between May 2018 and June 2025, Sengua received more than 14,000 images and videos depicting child sexual abuse in two Google accounts. The Sengua’s collection depicted children as young as infants and toddlers.
Prosecutors say some of the images included children in the Rapid City area whom he may have coached. To date, the investigation indicates these photos do not rise to the level of child pornographic images and are not the subject of criminal charges.
“We are asking members of the public, whose children have been coached by the defendant to contact us with any pertinent information,” said Jackley. “We need to determine if any more local children may have been exploited and ensure they receive necessary care and attention.”
