Sesame Workshop is the nonprofit educational organization behind Sesame Street and so much more. Their mission is to help kids grow smarter, stronger, and kinder. Working with Sesame Workshop, SDPB is providing free tools and resources. Toolkits have been made available to educators, caregivers, daycare providers, and parents. These toolkits center on the topics of health and wellness, early learning, and social-emotional wellbeing.
SDPB is offering three workshops in March 2021 to support recipients of the toolkits and help them understand how to incorporate these tools in the support they offer children every day. The workshops are online and free.
- The workshops take place at 7:30 pm Central, 6:30 pm Mountain on Tuesday, March 16; Monday, March 22; and Tuesday, March 30. All the workshops will contain the same content, so choose the one that works best for your schedule.
- On April 6th, SDPB and Sesame Workshop are coming together for an Early Childhood Learning Summit. Local early learning experts will be joined by Alex Lupo from Sesame Workshop. Alex is a Project Coordinator in the U.S Social Impact department at Sesame Workshop. She is passionate about helping kids, families, and communities become resilient in even the toughest times.
Working at the national, regional, and local levels, Sesame Workshop and SDPB hope to foster relationships with community-based organizations and agencies, integrating our resources into their existing work to engage families and young children in a deep connection with these tools.
