BHSU and partners receive grants to boost youth interest in STEM fields

A Black Hills State University team received about $8 million to increase the accessibility of STEM fields.

STEM, or science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, continues to be a growing sector in the national workforce.

The National Science Foundation grant funds a project at BHSU to connect STEM fields to rural youth.

Several state universities and institutions are collaborating with BHSU over the next four years to improve support, understanding, and confidence in STEM for South Dakota students.
