The state Board of Regents has announced a new program seeking to give students a leg up as they step into the education field.
The Gateway to Teacher Education is an undergrad certificate for students considering a career in K-12 education.
Participating students will earn credentials focused on teaching careers and provide opportunities to consider opportunities at each of South Dakota’s public universities.
The program is available to students attending a state university, or students in their last two years of high school. Additional information can be found on the program's website.
