SD public schools waive application fees for high school seniors

South Dakota high school seniors can now apply to South Dakota’s public universities and technical colleges for free until the end of November.

The state Board of Regents, Board of Technical Education, and Department of Education created this opportunity to increase college awareness and ensure more students can access the state’s educational opportunities.

Institutions that have their application fees waived for the next two months include: Black Hills State, Dakota State, Southeast Tech, Lake Area Tech, South Dakota Mines, University of South Dakota, Mitchell Tech, Northern State, South Dakota State and Western Dakota Tech.

The free application period runs from Oct. 1 through Nov. 30.
