State seeks Clean Water Act grant applicants

South Dakota Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources

The South Dakota Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources is accepting applications for projects eligible for federal Clean Water Act pollution control grants.

The grants are for projects aiming to reduce water pollution from nonpoint sources, according to the Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Examples include removing polluted runoff from urban and agricultural lands.

Eligible applicants are governmental agencies, state government subdivisions, universities, some nonprofit organizations and federally recognized Indian tribes. Other groups can apply for a grant through an eligible entity as a partner.

Application information is available on the department’s website or by calling them at (605) 773-4254.
