USD project studies greenhouses & crop production in a changing climate

The age of climate change can take control away from farmers and ranchers.

Extreme weather events are becoming more common. It may get hotter or colder than usual at different times than usual.

It's all very difficult to plan for.

Meghann Jarchow, Ph.D., is the chair of the University of South Dakota Department of Sustainability and Environment. She's part of a research project into how greenhouses can help give agricultural producers a bit more control.
