South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks is asking for public input on the department’s updated wildlife action plan.
Officials say the plan assesses the state’s fish and wildlife populations, their habitats and potential problems they face. It also outlines long-term conservation actions.
The plan is reviewed every 10 years. It was last updated in 2015.
Public comment is open through June 20.
The draft wildlife action plan can be found online at the Game, Fish and Parks website.
GFP officials say written comments must be received by the deadline and include your full name and city of residence. Comments can be sent to 523 E. Capitol Ave., Pierre, S.D. 57501, or submitted online.
