Officials in Gregory County say no injuries were reported after at least one tornado touched in the county.

Monday’s storm did leave behind damage in the area, including in the town of Lucas and Bonesteel.

Brad Christensen is the Gregory County Emergency Management Directors. He said a lot of the areas are recovering.

"The town of Bonesteel I think is pretty well cleaned up, but they had some straight line tree damage. And there was a building that kind of came apart up by the ball diamond, or at the ball diamond,” Christensen said.

Christensen said while they haven’t seen injuries to people, there were some animals affected in Lucas.

“There was some cattle. We don’t know if they’re [dead from] tornado or lightning, that were found dead. Right next to a fence that was torn out, so it could’ve been a tornado. I have no idea how many cattle, I haven’t heard yet,” Christensen said.

He said while there were some power outages, he believes it’s almost all restored by now throughout the county.
