A new health center focused on mental health and substance abuse will be opening in Downtown Sioux Falls.
Downtown Sioux Falls is adding a health center on the corner of 8th and Dakota. The mental health and substance abuse center is a collaboration between Sanford, Avera, Minnehaha County and the City of Sioux Falls.
Maddie Miller, the nurse manager for the link, explains the services provided at the center.
“So for individuals dealing with substance abuse, we offer… and other options for continued support.”
Miller says the center will benefit the community in many ways due to it being one of the first of it’s kind in the area.
The triage center is slated for an early June opening.
