In 2005, Lorri Shealy Unumb wrote unprecedented autism insurance for South Carolina. Ryan's Law, named for her son who has autism, passed in 2007 and has served as the catalyst for autism insurance reform on the national level.

Unumb was the Morning Fill Up guest Wednesday as the Numad Group welcomed her to The Garage in Rapid City.

We continued our conversation on Applied Behavior Analysis and the repercussions of killing HB1236 for families that have a kid with autism.

Our guest were Dr. Kathleen Cook, an Assistant Professor in the Education Department at Augustana University. She's a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and an executive Director for the South Dakota Association of Behavior Analysis.

And Krystal Trull, mother of a child with Autism, that has lost insurance coverage on ABA Therapy since the beginning of the year.
